Prep time: 1 min
Cook time: 5 min

Oat milk is a great kidney-friendly dairy alternative that has a nice creamy texture and is well suited as a milk substitute.

Makes

1 serving

Serving size

1 cup

Ingredients

1 cup oat milk

1 tablespoon cocoa powder

2 teaspoons honey

½ teaspoons vanilla

Instructions

  1. Heat a small saucepan on medium high. Pour in milk.

  3. Whisk to mix well.
  4. Heat until scalding (when bubbles form on the edges of the liquid in the pot).
  5. Remove from heat, pour into mug and enjoy!

Cooking Tip

For extra chocolaty flavor, shred a little bit of high-percentage dark chocolate on top! It also looks great as a garnish.
