Hot Chocolate
Oat milk is a great kidney-friendly dairy alternative that has a nice creamy texture and is well suited as a milk substitute.

Ingredients
1 cup oat milk
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
2 teaspoons honey
½ teaspoons vanilla
Instructions
- Heat a small saucepan on medium high. Pour in milk.
- Add the cocoa powder, honey and vanilla.
- Whisk to mix well.
- Heat until scalding (when bubbles form on the edges of the liquid in the pot).
- Remove from heat, pour into mug and enjoy!
Cooking Tip
For extra chocolaty flavor, shred a little bit of high-percentage dark chocolate on top! It also looks great as a garnish.
