6 servings

Serving size

10 ½ ounces

Ingredients

8 cups water

¼ cup maple syrup

2 inches ginger, freshly grated

⅓ cup hibiscus flowers, dried

½ cup rose petals, dried

2 limes, juiced

Instructions

  1. Place water in a stock pot on medium-high heat.
  2. Add the maple syrup and ginger as the water is boiling.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Add the dried hibiscus flowers and dried rose petals to the ginger-infused water. Simmer for 5 more minutes.
  5. Pour the water into a separate pitcher through a sieve to remove grated ginger and dried flowers.

Cooking Tip

If you are having difficulty peeling the ginger, use the round end of a spoon to scrape the peel. It comes off quite easily.
