Orzo with Italian Herbs

Cooked to perfection, this vegetarian dish combines orzo pasta with aromatic Italian herbs, creating a quick and flavorful meal that satisfies your tastebuds with every bite.

Ingredients
3 quarts (12 cups) water
1 ⅓ cup (8 ounces) dry orzo pasta
2 teaspoons olive oil
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning (blend of marjoram, thyme, rosemary, savory, sage, oregano, and basil)
1 tablespoon parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions
- Bring the water to a boil.
- Add orzo to water and stir. Return to a boil and cook, uncovered, 9 to 11 minutes.
- Remove from heat and drain in colander.
- Transfer orzo to a serving bowl.
- Add olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and parmesan cheese. Toss gently.

For best results, avoid overcooking the orzo.
