Iced Tea with Orange and Mint

This refreshing iced tea is the perfect cool drink on a hot day. While many flavored iced teas have added sugar and phosphorus, this version uses fresh orange and mint leaves instead.

Ingredients

½ gallon boiling water

4 black tea bags

2 large oranges, washed and sliced

2 large sprigs fresh mint leaves, washed

Instructions

  1. Combine the boiling water and tea bags. Set aside to brew to desired strength, 3 to 5 minutes.
  2. Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours.
  3. Add the orange slices and mint and return to the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight.
  4. Serve over ice.

Cooking Tip

You can mix it up by using lemons, limes and fresh basil instead.
