Homemade Barbeque Sauce
A homemade barbeque sauce that is delicious and easy to make. This sauce is both sweet and spicy and goes well on favorite dishes such as ribs, burgers, turkey legs, and a whole lot more.

Ingredients
1 cup light brown sugar
1 ½ cups of Heinz® ketchup or 2 cups of organic tomato sauce
¼ cup Bragg® apple cider vinegar
½ cup of water
2 tablespoons of chili powder
2 teaspoons paprika
¼ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon Mrs. Dash® garlic pepper
¼ teaspoon allspice
1 ½ tablespoons organic ground mustard
1 teaspoon liquid smoke
1 teaspoon Redhot® sauce (optional, included in nutritional analysis)
1 dash cayenne pepper (optional, included in nutritional analysis)
Instructions
- Combine brown sugar, ketchup (or tomato sauce), vinegar, water, chili powder, and paprika in a 2-quart saucepan. Whisk together on stovetop over low heat for 2 minutes or until smooth.
- Add black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, garlic pepper, allspice, ground mustard, and liquid smoke. Whisk for 2 minutes or until smooth.
- Add Redhot® sauce and cayenne pepper (if using).
Cooking Tip
Store all unused sauce in a small container or mason jar. Keep refrigerated.
