Hibiscus Ice Pops
Hibiscus is an excellent choice for ice pops – it’s naturally high in vitamin C and antioxidants. You can find hibiscus tea in teabags or dried hibiscus flowers in containers. We love these pops with pieces of sweet ripe cherries inside!
Makes
Serving size
Ingredients
1½ cups hibiscus tea, warm
1 tablespoon honey
6 cherries, pitted and roughly chopped
Instructions
- Steep the tea to concentrate the flavor.
- Melt the honey in the tea while still warm. Stir to distribute evenly.
- Fill ice pop molds with sweetened tea.
- Drop chopped cherries into each ice pop. Place handle and freeze.
Cooking Tip
If you don’t have a cherry pitting tool, place cherries on a cutting board. Cover with a paper towel. Using a rolling pin or an empty wine bottle, beat the cherries under the towel until somewhat smashed. Remove the towel and the cherry pits can now be easily removed.
