Garlic Bread
Turn your simple French bread into garlic bread with these easy steps.

Ingredients
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
¾ cup mayonnaise
1 loaf (1 pound) French bread
1 teaspoon Italian herbs
Instructions
- Pour oil into a small bowl. Add garlic to oil and let stand overnight.
- The next day, strain garlic from oil and discard garlic.
- To the oil, add paprika, cayenne, lemon juice and parmesan. Mix well. Stir in mayonnaise.
- Slice loaf of bread in half lengthwise.
- Spread each half generously with garlic spread.
- Place both halves under the broiler (or set oven to 500°F) and broil until golden brown. Serve hot.
Cooking Tip
Add a tablespoon of chopped fresh parsley to the garlic spread for extra flavor.
