Chili con Carne
This delicious and classic recipe is quick and easy to make. Perfect for a casual night with friends.

Ingredients
1-pound lean ground beef
1 cup onion, chopped
½ cup green bell pepper, chopped
6 ounce no-salt tomato paste
2 tablespoons chili powder
½ teaspoon ground cumin
½ teaspoon paprika
1-quart water
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat, and then drain the fat.
- Add onion and bell pepper to the large pot with ground beef.
- Cook until the onion is transparent.
- Add remaining ingredients, stir, and simmer uncovered for 1.5 hours.
- Before serving, measure the chili and add additional water to make 5 cups.
- Heat through.
Cooking Tip
Add less chili powder to reduce the heat.
