Chicken in Wine Sauce

Ingredients

2 tablespoons canola oil

½ cup all-purpose white flour

¼ teaspoon fresh ground pepper

6 chicken thighs, bone-in, with skin

4 cloves of garlic, peeled and halved

¾ cup white wine, divided (½ cup + ¼ cup)

1 teaspoon Mrs. Dash® garlic herb seasoning mix

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat on stove.
  2. Place flour and pepper in a dish.
  3. Dredge the chicken in the flour and place in the skillet. Cook skin side down, until golden brown. Flip the chicken.
  4. Add garlic, ½ cup white wine and Mrs. Dash® seasoning to the skillet.
  5. Cover and cook chicken on low heat until it reaches 165 degrees, about 20-40 minutes. Check the chicken periodically, thighs that reach 165 degrees should be pulled out and set aside as remaining thighs finish cooking.
  6. Add ¼ cup more white wine about halfway through cooking
  7. Serve chicken topped with wine sauce.

Cooking Tip

You can substitute the white wine for unsalted chicken broth.
