Cheese Ball Bites

A creamy and savory appetizer or snack. It features rich cream cheese with salty bacon bits, crunchy nuts and a fresh burst of parsley.

Ingredients

1 cup (8-ounces) cream cheese, room temperature

¼ cup (2-ounces) finely shredded cheddar cheese

½ teaspoon garlic powder

¼ teaspoon onion powder

Pinch of kosher salt

⅛ teaspoon pepper

⅛ teaspoon red pepper flakes

4 tablespoons (1-ounce) real bacon pieces or bits (Oscar Mayer® used)

⅓ cup fresh parsley, chopped

⅓ cup (1 ½-ounces) no salt added dry roasted cashews, crushed (may substitute another nut)

Instructions

  1. Combine the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, and bacon in a large bowl.
  2. Mix the parsley and cashews together in a separate small bowl.
  3. Scoop 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture to form into a ball and roll in the parsley mix.
  4. Chill before serving (if desired).

Cooking Tip

You may substitute chives or another herb for parsley.
