What fast food can I eat?

Finding kidney-friendly fast food can be difficult, but not impossible! Most food at fast-food restaurants is packed with sodium and phosphorus food additives. I recommend looking up the nutrition information online to help you find the most kidney friendly choices. Salads are great options because you can easily modify them to meet your needs. Maybe opt for lower-potassium vegetables if you need to, or leave off the bacon bits, cheese or some of the dressing to help keep the sodium down. Look for grilled or broiled options instead of “crispy” or “fried” meats. If it is available, ask for fruit, steamed vegetables or a salad instead of fries.
