I am new to this type of diet. How do I form a daily diet menu plan?

It’s awesome you are interested in managing your health through diet. There are different modifications to one’s diet that can help manage the health condition(s) you may have. If you have chronic kidney disease, it is important to know what stage you are at as that gives insight into how much your kidneys are able to filter, thus determine what foods you may need to be more mindful of. Please consult your doctor and/or registered dietitian for specific details regarding your needs. You can speak with your primary care provider or nephrologist to request a referral to follow up with a renal registered dietitian so that he/she can review your labs/specific needs, and help you navigate your daily diet. You can also find a renal registered dietitian on the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics website, eatright.org/find-a-nutrition-expert. You have the option of searching for in-person or telehealth dietitian, as well as location and specialty (Kidney Disease and Renal).
