Balsamic Roasted Green Beans

Prep time: 5 min
Cook time: 15 min

Roasting green beans gives them a sweet, nutty flavor that is just delicious! The balsamic vinegar enhances that sweetness and adds a bright, acidic kick that you’re sure to love.

Makes

3 servings

Serving size

1 cup

Ingredients

1 pound green beans, trimmed

2 cloves of garlic, chopped

1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

1 tablespoon olive oil

⅛ teaspoon salt

⅛ teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. In a large bowl, toss green beans with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread green beans evenly on a parchment or foil lined baking sheet.
  4. Roast in oven until lightly browned, 10-12 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle green beans with garlic and toss to combine. Roast for another 5 minutes until beans are tender and caramelized.
  6. Remove from oven and toss with balsamic vinegar.

Cooking Tip

Make sure your green beans are nice and dry before roasting to ensure proper browning and caramelization for that nutty flavor. If you don’t want to bother with fresh garlic, substitute with ¼ teaspoon of garlic powder.
